May Papertrey Blog Hop

My sister gave me this photo of my niece for Mother's Day and it was the perfect inspiration I needed to make something incorporating yellow, for this blog hop. The title for my LO is 'You are my SUNSHINE". She truly is a ray of sun in our lives. My children adore her and fortunately we are a very close family and get to spend lots of time together.

I used the Beyond Basic Borders stamps for my patterned paper, the Everyday Classics for the flower and Simple Alphabet for the sub-title.

PTI Princesses Challenge #2

Oh dear, I am late with the second challenge and the third one has already been posted. Well I decided to use my Damask Designs at last. Love this set and what I've seen everyone doing with it. Have only used this one stamp from the set. Tried to make it as monochromatic as I could. Just don't seem to have enough time to get my stamping done. Been so busy running around with my kids and getting them to all their different activities. This is a busy term for us at school. We have a school break in July for three weeks. That will be our Winter holiday.

Let's do Lunch

I loved all the projects I saw leading up to the release of the new Timeless Templates on the 15th May. So I just had to get the Let's do Lunch template ASAP. Well, this is possibly the most challenging to assemble of all the templates I have. Maybe the next time I use it I'll feel happier with my efforts. Here is my little 'lunch box', it was just a practice project. My husband likes it and wants to use it for his admin assistant's birthday on Monday.

1. I do not like cooking. We eat lots of take outs.
2. I cannot stay up late. Prefer getting up very early - 4am most days
3. I do not eat chocolate.
4. I really love my music to be loud, especially when driving in the car.
5. I spend way too much time on the internet.
6. I love walking around barefoot.

This is the card I made for my mom. It really looks so much better IRL. I used the bitty dots paper for the background and embossed the scalloped strips with the Swiss dots folder.

Timeless Templates

We had a Ladies Tea at Church yesterday. I used Lauren's Rounded Wrap Up template to make these little boxes for each place setting at our table. I placed chocolates inside.

Raspberry Suite Challenge #4

I haven't scrapped in 7 months! So, being National Scrapbook weekend, I decided to make a scrapbook page using the colours in the challenge. I really enjoyed making this LO and tried a few 'new' (for me) techniques, like the ruffles and the rosette flower.

Edit: Oops, just realised I used Spring Rain instead of Aqua Mist.
