Papertrey Princesses Challenge #1

Don't have many outline stamps for paperpiecing, so I chose these flower stamps from a Fancy Pants set. Used some K & Company pp for the petals and bitty dots paper for the flower centres. Then added some diamond glaze to the centres. Added some stitching to finish it off. This was a great challenge for me as I very seldom venture into the colouring and paperpiecing side of this wonderful craft. Thanks Diane for a great challenge.

April Papertrey Blog Hop

Used the Recipe Wrap to make a Mother's Day 'card' for my mom. As there are 6 pockets in this template it fitted perfectly with the 6 letters in the word 'Mother'. I found this poem on the internet.

M is for the Moments she wiped away my tears
O is for the Opportunity she gave me through the years
T is for her Thoughtfulness in everything she does
H reminds me of her Heart that's always filled with love
E is the Encouragement that's given out for free
R is for Reliable - she's always there for me.

I then made a card with each letter of the word and printed out the appropriate part of the poem. I placed one card in each pocket. I adhered a photo at the bottom of each card, so this Recipe Wrap is more like a mini album.

Gift box

Found this idea on Andrea Walford's site. The box measures 5"x4". Of course I had to play with the GL2 stamp set. Made a paper flower ala Donna Salazar style. The images show how the box looks when it is open and closed.

Accordion Flower

Got it right at last. Love these accordion flowers and just couldn't get mine to stay together in the middle. It kept popping apart. Found this tutorial this morning and got my flower to stay stuck at last! Then I had to use it on something, so I made this card.

Guide Lines 2

Have had this set for 2 weeks and couldn't wait to try it. Copied the background from Niki Estes. In fact the card is amost an exact copy. I love the way she uses this stamp set. Still very new at making my own BG paper and needed to follow an example. Going to be doing a lot of experimenting with this stamp set. The possibilities seem endless with all the pattern and colour combinations.

Anniversary set

Got the Aniversary set from PTI a couple of weeks ago and just had to use it. Was inspired by a card created by Betsy Veldman for this one of mine. (The background cardstock is white IRL. Looks like a very pale blue in this photo. LOL)
