Snapshot

I have really been neglecting my scrapping and I felt in the mood for painting, stamping, sewing and having fun. So I gathered all my scraps and art supplies then I went searching the net for a sketch. I have found so many wonderful resources and hope to be doing quite a few more layouts. Here is the sketch I found and what I managed to come up with. I painted  a section for the backround and then stamped over it with bubble wrap. I then flicked some blue paint on opposite corners. I did a bit of stitching here and there too! A messy layout but it was fun!

Fusion Challenge #4

This week I worked solely with the sketch. As soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do...which rarely happens. I have had PTI's Lighten Up stamp set and dies for over a year and this is the first time I'm using it.

WMS Flower Show CASE

I chose to CASE JJ Bolton. I really find layering very difficult and prefer to make CAS cards. This card was closest to my style. Although JJ Bolton embossed her image and sentiment, I decided to use watercolouring. Just got my hands on an aqua brush and had to give the watercolouring a go. The flower image is the only one I have fromWMS and is from the very first release, "Say it with Style". I kept the layout very much the same.
I'm also linking this card to the Addicted to CAS #11 challenge. The code word for this week's challenge is FLOWER.

PTI Blog Hop - April 2013 and Dynamic Duos #49

This month's challenge was to tilt something on your project. This really was a challenge for me as I like things all straight and lined up. I used Script Alphabet (lowercase) dies and Modern Alphabet (uppercase) dies for the sentiment and I used Fancy Flourishes stamp set for the background flourish which I embossed in silver. I would also like to enter this this card in this week's Dynamic Duos challenge.

Muse Challenge #14

Muse is one of my favourite challenges on the net and I love to see the different ways crafters are inspired by the guest designer's project.
This week's muse is lovely Virginia Lu. I used the layout of her card as inspiration.
I tried the letterpress look with this card.

Fusion Challenge

This card is for the first Fusion challenge.
Got my inspiration from the sketch and the colours in the photo. Such a fun, new challenge. Looking forward to what each week will bring.
