Oh these PTI celebrations have been so much fun. This colour palette was quite challenging for me. Still not convinced I pulled it off.

Emboss Resist Technique

I love the look of this technique and was finally pushed to give it a go. Nichole Heady issued a challenge to make a project using any form of the emboss resist technique.

I stamped the 'damask border' with Top Boss embossing stamp pad on white CS and heat set with clear embossing powder. I then rubbed over the image with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink.

Papertrey Princesses Challenge #2

We all have our favourite templates that we turn to time and again.

The challenge this time is to try something that's new to you, something that you haven't made before. So, create a 3D project using a template or design your own.

As an added challenge, decide on what you're putting into your 'box' and use that as inspiration for your project eg. colours, patterns, textures etc.

Used the colours from this handwash and soap as inspiration for my project.

Papertrey Princesses Challenge #1

Our first challenge for 2010 came from the very talented Anya. Loved the colours in the picture. Used the faux stiched border stamp from Waltzingmouse Stamps to go with the sewing theme presented in our inspiration pic. Used my cricut (Storybook cartridge) to cut the leaves and then embossed them with my cuttlebug for added texture.

RSCC #21

Love the colours in this challenge. Finally got the courage to use the plaid stamp from Off Beat Backgrounds by Waltzingmouse Stamps. That stamp was the reason why I bought that set. Funny how you can be intimidated when doing something you love so much.

Happy Birthday card

This is the card I made for my dad's birthday which was on the 7th January. So much inspiration from Dawn.

Starting the New Year with Love...

I'm not big on Valentine's day but there is so much inspiration out in blogland right now, so I had to join in. LOL. Hope 2010 is filled with lots of love and laughter for everyone.
