We all get together at my parents' home on Christmas Eve (4 siblings, husbands, wives and 10 grandchildren). Have been busy altering cans. Made these cans for the children in the family. Personalised them a bit by placing each child's initial on "their" can. Put a bag of candy in each can.

Bits and pieces
I have been busy with all sorts of 'little' things. There is so much inspiration out there it is quite overwhelming. I want to try it all but as the saying goes,"so much to do, so little time".
Here are some of the bits and pieces I've had fun making.
Made the petite version of the Around Town Tote with my own version of a poinsettia (love those flowers at this time of year. They just make me feel so happy!)
Found this tutorial for making these paper poinsettias.
Saw a card on Dawn's blog that I loved. So I used the same colours and some of the elements to make my own. Thanks to everyone for all the great inspiration. Love this hobby.

Saw these little bags on Andrea's site last year and have been wanting to make them ever since.

Christmas Tree and a Bit of Fun...
Finally got to use the Tree Trimming Trio stamps. Used some inspiration from the wonderful Melissa Phillips to make my card.
While I was busy stamping, my daughter saw the stamps lying on the table and thought the tree stamp that I was using was a pizza slice stamp. LOL. Well, I decided to go with her idea and made a quick card to see how it would turn out. It sure has possibilities. Anyone for pizza?

SSCC #7
Thanks to inspiration from Peggysue, I found this wonderful blog, Stampin' Sisters In Christ. What a wonderful opportunity to use my Verve stamps. Bought some of Verve's Plain Jane bible verse stamps to make cards for people who might be needing words of encouragement.
The challenge was to show the "earth rejoicing"... flowers blooming, oceans roaring, trees bursting with fruit, mountains and hills 'clapping'... whatever comes to mind for you as long as your card or project shows the earth rejoicing.
I just thought this little bird looked like he was bursting out in song and praising God for His goodness.

My favourite stamp set
I adore 'Teachers Apple' by PTI. Maybe that's because I am a teacher or maybe it's just because I love the different designs on the apples. Well, either way, I wanted to use it again. Claire Brennan is holding a competition to win the entire collection of her new release. Couldn't resist that. Her sets just get better and better with each release. You have to make a card using your favourite stamp and the colour green. I made one of Lauren's templates, Fold and Go, instead. I used Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado for my shades of green. Got my inspiration for this project from the wonderful Dawn McVey. Really these PTI ladies are awesome.

My prize arrived
I was so fortunate to win one of Claire Brennan's gorgeous stamp sets during her last release. She is busy with sneek peeks of her next release. This lady is super talented and so modest. Claire, you rock girl! I chose the 'Say it with Style' set and had to make something ASAP.
I made this little scrapling as there was a challenge over on SCS using scraplings and I'm looking everywhere at the moment for some inspiration. How long will this dry spell last?!

Moxie Fab World Challenge
This is my second post for the day. Lost my mojo for a while and now I need to play catch up. LOL. Made this holiday card for the challenge on Moxie Fab World. Don't have a Christmas stamp set yet so I had to make do with what I had. I used Everyday Button Bits and Text Style Background stamps. Looking forward to this month's PTI stamp release on the 15th. Need those Christmas stamps in my basket.

Lee's PTI Princesses Challenge
Had a few ideas in mind and finally settled on the following challenge. Hope you enjoy.
Find a sketch that appeals to you. Use the sketch to complete a scrapbook layout and a card.
Here is my take on my challenge. Hero Arts blog was hosting a "sketch week" this week. This was Monday's sketch. Nice and simple but with many possibilities.

Blog Award
I received this blog award from Brenda O'Reilly. We are forum buddies on Memories Warehouse. Thanks Bee, so glad you keep in touch. I need to name 5 things I would like to do.
1. I would love to be a stay at home mom.
2. I want to run the Comrades Marathon again next year. (have been very lazy this year LOL)
3. Would dearly love to visit my best friend in Canada.
4. My greatest wish is to experience a white Christmas. (Of course if I get to visit my friend in Canada, will have to be in December, then I'll have both my dreams come true!)
5. I really want to have a more positive outlook on life and find JOY in all the little things.
I would like to pass this award onto my blogging buddies:

RSCC #14
We had a public holiday (Women's Day) here in SA today so I managed to get a couple of cards done. This is my second post for today.
Such lovely colours but what a decision trying to put them all together. Decided to use the inspiration from PTI's DT Challenge for August which was called Pattern Pizzaz. That helped to get me going! My card really is so much brighter IRL. Think it's time for a new camera too. LOL.
CPS #128
Haven't played along in a while and needed some inspiration so used this sketch to help the mojo along. This card doubles up for another challenge on CPCM (NTYW 16) where we had to use buttons on our card. This is another image from PTI's Everyday Button Bits.

Papertrey Princesses "Owl" Challenge
This time it was Pam's turn to set the challenge. We had to use owls on our card. I don't own an owl stamp so I printed one out as close in colour to Raspberry Fizz as I could. I used DoodleBats called DB Woodsy from Scrap n Fonts. Tried to use more 'fun' colours as I always tend to go more neutral. I really enjoyed this challenge. Thanks Pam.

Baby gift
Made this ensemble for my sister who is in hospital as I type this post. She has been induced this morning and we are awaiting the arrival of little Matthew. I used the Men of Life stamp set and the wonderful inspiration from Nicole Heady. In this post she gives instructions and a download for the baby album. In this post you can find the instructions for the card and little boat gift tag.

PTI Princesses Challenge #5
I have been neglecting my blog lately and missed challenge #4 completely. For challenge #5 we had to:
1.make something using a colour we seldom use,
2.use inking
3. then give our project to someone.
I so seldom use purples/lilacs so that was my starting point. It will be my SIL's birthday on Monday so I used Lauren's 'Ready, set wrap' template to make the gift box. I then made a little gift card envelope for the gift card. I will place the gift card together with some chocolates in the gift box.
I used Lavender Moon and Plum Pudding CS, inks and Bitty Dot Basics.
