The first thing I noticed on the inspiration photo was the butterflies cascading in the colours of the rainbow. I then cut strips of CS in the colours of the rainbow to make my background. I embossed a white flourish on the background. I punched out the 3 butterflies using scor-tape adhered to CS so that I could then adhere the glitter.
Ren-Yi challenged our blogging group, Papertrey Princesses, to use stripes on a project. My 'rainbow' background forms the stripes on my card.
Very pretty!!! Love the colors :-) Thank you for sharing your beautiful card with us this week at The Shabby Tea Room :-)
ReplyDeleteOh Lee, this took my breath away. So, so pretty. I really love how the glitter stands out on the butterflies, and the way you "reversed" the inspiration photo idea!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's breathtaking! Beautiful job.
ReplyDeleteLove your take on the inspiration photo, Lee. So clever to kind of reverse the colors of the background and the butterflies. Love it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this Lee! That background is so FUN!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a WONDERFUL weekend!
