Background Blending and a Grid Card

This card is for 2 challenges.

1.The first challenge is for PTI's Make it Monday challenge which was to use ink blending techniques.

I took a piece of white CS and then used Distress Inks (Antique Linen, Peeled Paint and Worn Lipstick) to colour the background. I then stamped with Text Style and Sheet Music bg stamps. I also embossed a flourish in white. Next step was to cut my squares. I used the Take Three die.

2.The second challenge was for the Cards challenge on the Create blog. This week the challenge was for grid cards. I had no idea where to start so I did some Googling and wow, there was such incredible inspiration, in particular, Jacqueline. Check out her Flickr pool, you will be inspired.

  7. It's beenn so long since I had a chance to visit you, Lee, that I had to keep scrolling and scrolling to see all you've been doing -- so much inspiration here! But, since -- as usual -- time is short, I thought I'd try to only comment on one. And this one about took my breath away. It's a brilliant design for both the grid card and the sponging challenge. Love how you even kicked it up a notch by doing the embossing in white. Great card!
